Metal Profile UV curing enables the safer and faster application of a wide variety of coatings on metal profiles and metal extrusions to protect them against corrosion.
In this example, a coated metal tube passes through an irradiation chamber of 4x E2C UV lampheads arranged at 90 degrees to each other, in order to fully cure the protective coating all around the tube. The coating is hardened instantly upon exposure to the lamps and the product can be handled, processed and despatched immediately afterwards. In addition, there are no hazardous VOC emissions from drying the coating which needs to be managed.
