GEW support for Air Ambulance
Saving the lives of critically unwell and severely injured patients is a daily responsibility for the Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex teams. Their highly skilled doctors and paramedics are trained in advanced pre-hospital care. Last year alone, they were called out to help over 2,000 people in life-threatening conditions, across South East England.
This vital service relies on two specially equipped helicopters and it costs in excess of £11million each year to continue their life-saving work. It comes as a surprise to many that the funding of this incredible service is run by an independent charity. Through donations and fundraising, they keep flying high and GEW has recently contributed to the cause, through the 2018 Christmas Card Campaign.
