Mounting arrangements | |
| GEW's design team will select the most appropriate lamphead for your application and will look in detail at your press to determine the most effective mounting arrangement. Generally, mounting is of the machined block type as we find it to be solid and reliable. If the system is to be installed by GEW, we will modify the press accordingly if required. |  |
Hinging lamphead | |
| Where space allows, hinging lampheads can be employed to enable access for fast webbing-up. This can be a boon especially on the larger lamphead. For reasons of health and safety, we include a safety cut-out switch which can be linked to the lamp controller and the press e-stop system. |  |
UV Shielding | |
| Well designed and effective UV shielding is of utmost importance. Even short-term exposure to UV from these high intensity lampheads can cause damage to the skin and particularly to the eye. GEW take this matter very seriously when designing the shielding arrangements for your press. Our 3D design system enables us to carefully check the shielding and identify potential light leaks well before manufacture. Shielding is always designed for minimal interference when webbing-up and many shields are hinged to allow access. Magnetic closures are preferred to allow quick operation. Whatever your press type, we will provide a safe and effective shielding arrangement. |   |
