Description
During lamphead maintenance and cleaning operations and when replacing UV lamps it is often necessary to open and close the shutter with the UV cassette removed from the lamphead. The shutters found on the latest e-System UV cassettes are driven by a geared electric motor and the high gear ratio prevents the shutter from being moved by hand. The hand controller overcomes this problem. It connects directly onto the cassette and its internal batteries provide power to drive the shutter motor. Simple buttons are provided to position the shutter as required and an LED confirms connection and battery life.
