Hand Held Radiometer

Description

The GEW hand held irradiance meter provides a simple and accurate way of determining the relative UV output of a lamphead compared to that of a new lamphead. This information can be useful in a number of ways. Firstly, it can be used to monitor levels of lamp / reflector contamination and lamp decay. Hence cleaning, maintenance and lamp replacement can be scheduled in at convenient times. Secondly, it can be used to regularly check UV output on critical printing applications (eg. medical applications).

1) Irradiance meter (65 x 120 x 22mm)
2) Light guide or ‘puck’ with flexible sheath. UV is channelled back to a remote sensor.

GEW Docking Station for Hand Held Meters

To ensure metering consistency the lamphead is fitted with a docking station into which the puck is placed. The station holds the puck in a repeatable position and acts as a shield to prevent the leakage of UV radiation. Hence the UV monitoring of multi-lampheads can be achieved easily, quickly and without interruption to the print run.
