GEW DIVERSIFIES INTO WIDE WEB OFFSET AND CONVERTING

With the launch of its IsoCure UV curing system for web offset applications, GEW has announced its intention to enter new market sectors of the printing and converting industries. Already a market leader in the narrow web sector, the company has its sights firmly set at diversification into both the newsprint and commercial web offset markets as well as coating and silicone release with a UV system they say will bring unprecedented savings to users.


LABELEXPO AMERICAS SHOW PREVIEW

Reducing the carbon footprint is very much the theme of the GEW stand at this years Labelexpo Americas where it will feature its e-System range of UV lamp heads with energy saving electronic power supplies that offer the combined benefits of more UV output, low running costs and reduced CO2 emissions.


GEW ADDS UV PROFITABILITY TO COLD-SET PRINTING

GEW has announced the development of its IsoCure system for UV curing of inks on web offset newspaper presses where cold-set inks are used. The system enables printing press capacity to be expanded and more efficiently used in the newsprint area so that presses can be run at times other than only at night.

FIRST AIR COOLED UV SOLUTION GOES TO SYSTEMS LABELLING

GEW (EC) Ltd. has announced the supply of an eight lamp UV curing line to Systems Labelling Limited, Flintshire. The VCP system supplied is an upgrade to one of the company’s existing flexo presses and is equipped with GEW’s AirFilm solution that permits processing of a wide range of heat-sensitive materials without the need for driven water-cooled rollers on the machine.  


UV HEAT MANAGED USING WATERLESS GEW CHILL ROLLERS

February 2007. UV curing systems manufacturer, GEW (EC) Ltd. has announced the development of AIRFilm, a heat management solution that permits processing of a wide range of heat-sensitive materials without the need for water-cooled rollers.


PUSHING THE LIMITS THROUGH INERT GAS UV CURING

The continuing evolution of the printing and packaging industries and the demand for improved product quality and production efficiencies have in turn placed greater challenges on UV curing technology. New film substrates that provide both physical and aesthetic properties and that also reduce material thickness and costs have been developed in recent years bringing with them new challenges.

GEW AND SADECHAF FORM ALLIANCE FOR BENELUX

In a move to strengthen its presence in the Benelux countries, UK based UV systems manufacturer GEW (EC) Ltd. has announced its alliance with Sadechaf UV and IR Technology for the sales and service of its equipment in the region.
