NHS Treats

Sweet gratitude

More Treats

GEW Director Gillian Rae has been busy baking goodies for NHS staff at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, as a small thank you to those who have worked so hard over the past year to care for patients stricken by COVID-19.

Gillian, along with other neighbours, have responded to a request for local residents to bake their thanks. The sweet treats are packaged and sent with a note of gratitude to front-line staff weekly. The items are coordinated together and then delivered to the hospital.  As Gillian says: “The dedication and bravery of those in the front-line is so deserving of our admiration, and this gesture is our way of saying thank you. We want to let them know that we are thinking of them at such a difficult time.”
