The Thunder Foundation

Kushal and his Team Thunder were helped by the generous support from GEW (EC) Limited and numerous other staff members at the GEW Crawley head office.

September was the perfect time of the year for GEW staff member Kushal Vadi to complete the Tough Mudder 2015 obstacle course raising in excess of £1,500 for The Thunder Foundation. Kushal and his Team Thunder were helped by the generous support from GEW (EC) Limited and numerous other staff members at the GEW Crawley head office.

The Thunder Foundation was set up in 2012 to raise awareness of the daily struggles which children in Kenya face in order to be educated and to survive. Initiated by Raad Swais, a PE teacher from East Sussex who moved to Kenya in 2012 to teach at a private school, the Thunder Foundation works in Nairobi, around the Kawangware area, and supports many schools, sporting academies and also individuals who need support for their daily living. The foundation opened their first own school in January 2014.
