EOS replaces the company’s RHINO power infrastructure with a redesigned platform covering power supplies, control electronics, cabling, and UV system control software. There is no backwards compatibility from EOS to RHINO.

End user retrofit solution (EOS)
For end users looking to buy a new UV, UV LED or Excimer curing system from GEW, their purchase will come with GEW’s new EOS power and control system fully integrated.
EOS introduces intelligent serialised lampheads for improved telemetry, end-to-end encryption of all communications traffic, and enhanced remote monitoring functionality.
Standard features include hour and reflector counters, and the platform remains compatible with GEW’s patented interchangeable ArcLED technology. In-house manufacturing of the new system gives GEW direct quality control over the full product.

Turnkey solution
Take advantage of GEW’s EOS power and control platform, which offers a stress-free turnkey solution that can be tailored to suit every requirement. The EOS platform provides highly advanced UV system control capabilities and service diagnostic tools.
Intelligent curing
The EOS power platform is compatible with all GEW intelligent UV curing and drying lampheads. Intelligent, serialised lampheads enable vastly improved telemetry and integration options, with serviceability and support for modern communication protocols.
Minimal footprint power supply rack
The compact rack cabinet houses up to five vertically mounted EOS power supplies and provides perfect cooling, atmospheric protection and mains power distribution. Cabinets are stackable two-high and fit into a 106cm x 115cm floor area. Power supplies slide into the rack and connect quickly, enabling more lamps to be easily added to the system in future.
Dual or single configuration
EOS dual channel powers two lampheads from a single power supply unit, for the most cost and space efficient system setup. Fully independent lamp control is maintained, and an EOS single channel unit is also available.
ArcLED ready
All EOS power supplies have GEW’s patented, interchangeable ArcLED capability. As standard they are configured for ArcLED operation, to enable Arc or LED technology to be used in the same press position.
Reliable operation
The EOS platform is designed to run in standard production environments with operation up to 40°C (104°F) and electronic components are specially coated to protect from humidity and airborne contaminants. Advanced electronic design protects the UV system from common electrical abnormalities and a safe power-down mode ensures minimal disruption in the event of a shutdown.
Original Equipment Manufacturer solution
For OEMs looking to integrate GEW’s UV, UV LED or Excimer curing systems into their presses, there is more flexibility in their purchase with EOS. Unlike with the previous generation RHINO systems, OEMs can now specify one of two options:
- The Alpha system, a fully integrated turnkey solution where GEW’s control system, power supply cabinet and cooling system all come included.
- The Beta system, a simple modular system where the minimum an OEM can purchase is 1x lamphead, 1x PSU and 1x cable, but the remaining components, including the control system, can come from other suppliers if the OEM chooses.
Despite the flexible nature of the OEM offering, the foundation of EOS remains the same. Existing RHINO / RLT users
RHINO and RLT have been GEW’s proprietary power supply and control system since 2013. From 2027 onwards, GEW will be transitioning fully to EOS power and control systems for all new installations, but will continue to support existing RHINO and RLT systems where customers want to retrofit an existing GEW system with newer GEW UV or UV LED technology, or where the customer needs spare parts.
Available in a range of sizes up to 27kW, RHINO power supplies are custom designed and manufactured by GEW, exclusively to power our UV systems. They meet the highest international safety standards (including ETL listing for all RHINO units), are monitored over the internet 24/7 and can be purchased with up to a 5-year warranty – unparalleled in the industry.
Every power supply is equipped with GEW’s ArcLED technology, enabling both UV arc and LED to be powered interchangeably by the same unit. Every RHINO & RLT system in the field is ready to run LED – only the LED lamp and chiller are required to make this change.
