On Sunday 18 June 2017, 15 staff members of GEW successfully completed the 54 miles of the London to Brighton Bike Ride organised by the British Heart Foundation.

Several riders had taken to their cycles for the first time in entering this event. A massive congratulations to all the participants for their commitment and their achievement.

Without the help of the support group, we would not have been able to ride! They weren’t put off when we told them we needed to meet at 5:45 in the morning. Thanks for giving up their Sunday to support the riders.

The event raised a substantial amount of money for the British Heart Foundation between us adding up to a brilliant £8,701! A big thank you to everyone who supported and sponsored our team.

The annual London to Brighton Bike Ride is the British Heart Foundation’s flagship event. The BHF was founded in 1961 is today the UK’s largest independent funder of research into cardiovascular disease.
