GEW will be collaborating with many other market-leaders and industry pioneers to present an innovative and highly informative conference event this April, in Florence, Italy. Label & Packaging Innovation (LPI) will focus on the theme of Invention in a Changing World and will unveil breakthrough inventions & technologies in printing and converting.

LPI will begin on April 1 and this first day has been specifically designed to focus on the interests of Brand Owners, Designers and Graphic Studios. Thereafter, the remaining three days of the event are structured for Converters. However, each and every day will feature a compelling mix of product demonstrations, presentations and breakthrough technology premieres. Multiple learning tracks are offered on each day, to enable visitors to focus on their areas of specific interest and to maximise the benefit of their visit.

LPI features a broad spectrum of leading manufacturers, to ensure that every aspect of the industry will be highlighted with insight and expertise. Topics will include Time-to-Market, Colour Consistency and Food Safety.

On the topic of Food Safety, GEW will be presenting live demonstrations of its multi-point UV monitor (mUVm) on a working press. The mUVm is a major innovation for UV curing installations, offering a highly reliable and cost-effective solution for production monitoring of UV intensity at multiple positions across the web, to eliminate the possibility of inadequate UV dose.

With mUVm it is now possible to attain 100% UV inspection and to generate a UV curing certificate for every batch by recording live UV outputs for every lamp. Furthermore, mUVm is designed to comply with a broad range of European legislation on food contact packaging.

Label & Packaging Innovation will enable visitors to experience an insight into the future of Labelling and Packaging, promising to become the ‘place to be’ this Spring. It also offers a fantastic opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Florence, with optional evening excursions for delegates.
