Reigate Lawn Tennis Club in Manor Road, Reigate is pleased to announce the opening of a new court, sponsored by GEW (EC) Limited. The new artificial clay court will add to the all-weather facilities at the club and will be a great contribution to increasing available playing time.
Artificial clay courts are becoming very popular with many clubs because they are playable immediately after rain. With a carpet base and sand filling, they provide a good playing surface, drain well and produce an enjoyable pace for club play.
Gillian Rae, Commercial and HR Director at GEW and a member of RLTC, says: “We are delighted to be supporting the club in this way and adding to the facilities of a club which provides so much pleasure and sport for its 600 members”.
GEW (EC) Limited is a world-leading manufacturer of UV curing systems for the label printing and coating industries. GEW is headquartered in the Manor Royal Business District in Crawley and operates subsidiaries in the US, Germany and India.
Club chair, Deborah Hamlin says: “We are thrilled with the generosity of GEW (EC) Limited and all of us look forward to many hours of play. Three of our eight courts are now artificial clay, so the Club is able to offer the opportunity for more people to play tennis more often”.
