Specialist UV systems (SUVs) describe all UV systems specified, designed and manufactured by GEW’s Specialist UV division. The purpose of the SUV business division is to provide a dedicated and responsive service for all UV curing applications outside of the narrow web labelling and packaging industry, GEW’s historical core business sector, and the sheet-fed offset printing market.
SUVs are typically very large UV systems and feature heavily customised integration work to suit the customer’s machine and process. The designs use either the fully air-cooled NUVA2 UV system, the air/water cooled E4C UV system or the high intensity LeoLED UV LED curing platform, all of which are available for wide format processes and powered by GEW’s RHINO hybrid electronic power supply.
From the drawing board, GEW UV systems are conceived to perfectly integrate in the host production machine, work at optimum efficiency with the highest reliability, reducing operating costs, environmental impact and unscheduled downtime.
GEW’s SUV division markets these UV systems directly and through selected OEM partners. GEW provides full pre-sales technical support for operators to determine exact specifications and full, seamless integration with their production line.
GEW designs and manufactures industrial, specialist UV curing installations for web coating and converting lines, security printing applications, wide-web CI presses and inline printing machines, metal decorating presses, inkjet and industrial printers. SUV systems are also used on numerous other machines for UV-coating special products, as well as for directly cross-linking the product itself.

GEW also produces UV systems for optical fibre production, silicone release coating, adhesive curing, sheetfed presses, metal-decorating presses, inkjet and industrial applications.
